Κλειὼ καλλιχόρου κιθάρης μελιηδέα μολπὴν
Εὐτέρπη τραγικοῖο χοροῦ πολυηχέα φωνὴν
Μελπομένη θνητοῖσι μελίφρονα βάρβιτον εὗρε:Τερψιχόρη χαρίεσσα πόρεν τεχνήμονας αὐλούς:
ὕμνους ἀθανάτων Ἐρατὼ πολυτερπέας εὗρε:
τέρψιας ὀρχηθμοῖο Πολύμνια πάνσοφος εὗρεν
[ἁρμονίην πάσῃσι Πολύμνια δῶκεν ἀοιδαῖς:]
Οὐρανίη πόλον εὗρε καὶ οὐρανίων χορὸν ἄστρωνκωμικὸν εὗρε Θάλεια βίον καὶ ἤθεα κεδνά.
