Φαῖδρος πραγματικὸς καὶ ζωγράφος ἤρισε Ῥοῦφος

ἀλλ᾽ ἐν ὅσῳ Ῥοῦφος τρίβειν τὰ χρώματ᾽ ἔμελλεν,
Φαῖδρος ἔγραψε λαβὼν εἰκονικὴν ἀποχήν.
