Χοίριλος Ἀντιμάχου πολὺ λείπεται: ἀλλ᾽ ἐπὶ πᾶσιν
Χοίριλον Εὐφορίων εἶχε διὰ στόματος,
καὶ κατάγλωσς1᾽ ἐπόει τὰ ποιήματα, καὶ τὰ Φιλητᾶ
ἀτρεκέως ᾔδει: καὶ γὰρ Ὁμηρικὸς ἦν.

Cratès ?

Gow et Page (Hellenistic Epigrams, t. II, p. 222) retiennent qu'il s'agirait d'un Cratès ayant vécu après le philosophe cynique, Cratès de Thèbes, sans doute Cratès de Mallos.

Les Belles Lettres, t. X, p. 267 : "Ce Cratès est-il le philosophe cynique de Béotie dont parle Diogène Laërce (4, 23) ? Certaines épigrammes peuvent le laisser penser (VII, 326 ; X, 104). Mais il y a d'autres Cratès, et le même Diogène cite le Cilicien, Cratès de Mallos, contemporain d'Aristarque, qui vécut à Pergame."
